Louisville, KY, October 29, 2020 – Kentucky Municipal Energy Agency (KYMEA) is proud to announce it has received the Award of Excellence in the Print/Digital category for the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards. The award was presented October 27-28, at the Association’s Customer Connections Conference which was held virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, KYMEA also received an award of Merit in the Web & Social Media category.
Excellence in the Print and Digital category was awarded to KYMEA for the 2019 Annual Report. This print and digital publication was prepared to highlight Agency accomplishments as the members and staff worked hard to complete the first full year of operations in 2019.
Merit in the Web & Social Media Category was awarded to KYMEA for the Agency’s website redesign which included Public Power, Board Meeting, COVID-19 Resource, and IRP pages that has aided in public awareness, participation, and transparency.
